Well, I decided to give up my more stall like teams and go for a more offensive play style, and with that I put away my classic Rain Stall teams and crafted a more dangerous team that revolves around Tornadus-T and Feraligatr. So lets begin.
Politoed (F) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 160 HP / 252 SAtk / 96 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Focus Blast
- Perish Song
Specs Politoied is a pretty dangerous threat, and it can do a lot to tear holed in opposing teams. A Specs Hydro Pump 2HKOs even Tentacruel and makes opposing switch ins and counters think twice. Ice Beam adds to the coverage checking the Dragons and certain Grass types. Focus Blast is a the best for Ferrothorn and Chansey and Blissey, which it can 2HKO after some Stealth Rock damage. Persih Song is here to screw over Baton Pass. The EVs allow Politoed to fire off massive attacks while the speed EVs give it 200 speed, enough to outspeed Skarmory,Jellicent, and mainly Scizor. The rest goes into bulk.
Ferrothorn (M) @ Chesto Berry
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Rest
- Spikes
- Gyro Ball
- Power Whip
Mainly here to take all special hits and wall certain Dragon types while setting up hazards at the same time. Since Ferrothorn is known to be hit with Will-o-Wisp I gave it a ChestoResto combination to guarnetee I get all my Hazards up. Gyro Ball and Powerwhip are pretty standard STABS,but they each work by eliminating other Politoed and such. The EVs make Ferrothorn a special defensive wall guarenteed to take even a Heatrans Fire Blast and still live if rain is up.
Gliscor (F) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Protect
- Toxic
- Earthquake
The defensive wall here who has great synergy with Ferrothorn. Its ability to Toxic Stal is second to none and is what plays a key role in eleminating counters to Tornadus ad Feraligatr. Substitute Protect and Toxic combined with its high defensives is enough to make some people rage quit. The EVs are straight forward and dont really need to much of a explanation.
Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Softboiled
Stall breaker Mew,made to turn people s day upside down and give them a frown. Stealth Rocks is the key move here, followed by Taunt to stop opposing Stealth Rockers. Will-o-Wisp cripples Tyranitar and Scizor while Softboiled heals off all damages. EVs allow it to be a great defensive wall but I may replace it with Deoxys-D due to its better defenses and it being faster.
Feraligatr (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Aqua Jet
- Ice Punch
- Waterfall
The main physical sweeper who is made to destroy everything. A forgotten threat due to its LU status, but quite effective in the rain. After a Swords Danc its guarenteed to sweep. Aqua Jet in the rain at +2 attack OHKOs Genesect after Stealth Rock while WaterFall does the same to Forretress after Stealth Rocks, and this is before Torrent is activated. Once torrent is activatd nothing likes taking a Aqua Jet and a Waterfalls power skyrockets to unimaginable levels. EV spread is all about a bulky sweeper, speed isn't needed because of Aqua Jet.
Tornadus-T (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 88 Atk / 252 SAtk / 168 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Hurricane
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- U-turn
- Superpower
Yes,a Scarfed Tornadus-T,even though I mayh akways revert to the Life Orb version, this set has add some succes in fooling the opponent into beleiving their going to win with their Scarfed Genesect only to get hit with the all powerful Hurricane. The EVs allow Tornadus to outspeed the Lati@s and even a Dragonite at +2. Hurricane is the main move here, but Hidden Power Ice screws over Dragons and anything related to them. U-turn adds to the momentum while Superpower is for Tyranitar and Heatran. The The extra EVs go into special attack to maximize it and the rest go into attack.
