THE SAND CASTLE

Got bored and after seeing Yellow Flash's Sandstorm team(pretty good btw) I decided to make a sandstorm team of my own. Its a pretty standard team and doesnt really focus on hitting to hard, focusing more on entry hazards combined with some pokemon to check most of the metagame.

THE PARTS OF THE SAND CASTLE

Gawdzilla (Tyranitar) (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Superpower

Pretty much the creator of the sandstorm, and here to tear large holes in the opposing team through pure power. Its also a decent check to Scarf Lati's who may threaten this team overall by using Pursuit. Stone Edge as the power to OHKO Specs Politoed if its not careful while Crunch is a decent backup STAB. SuperPower for opposing TTars and Heatrans.

Vesuvius (Heatran) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 244 HP / 8 SAtk / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Protect

Mainly here to setup Stealth Rocks but its also a great phazer via Roar which is perfect for harrassing the opponent and racking up damage. Lava Plume is a essential STAB while Protect is great for scouting out what my opponent will do. With its bulk it can survive a Rotom-W's Hydro Pump and manage to get up a Stealth Rocks.

Mr. Monopoly (Jellicent) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 236 HP / 252 Def / 16 SDef / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Taunt
- Toxic
- Recover

Mainly here because it synergizes well with Heatran, and as a plus,it can block typical Rapid Spinners and use Taunt to prevent them from setting up spikes and what not. Is more defensive so it can take Heatrans main threats, which are powerful fighting moves like Close Combat or moves like Earthquake. Scald,Toxic, and Recover are almost perfect for stalling out the opponent in sandstorm.

Sprite (Celebi) @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 8 Def / 252 SAtk / 248 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Earth Power
- Recover

Also here because it synergizes well with Heatran, but also a very good special attacker who can take on common threats on rain teams like Politoed,Ferrothorn, and Tentacruel. Giga Drain and Recover are basically here so it can actually live in Sandstorm. HP Fire is the birthday present for Scizor and Ferrothorn. Earth Power shows all Heatran who's boss. EV spread is pretty simple.

Star Gazer (Garchomp) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Rough Skin
EVs: 248 Atk / 8 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Outrage
- Dual Chop
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast

More or less the revenge killer and part time sweeper of the game. Outrage is usally a effective STAb as not many things who have been abused by Stealth Rocks and Spikes live to tell about it. Dual Chop is for Substitute abuser and Dragonite even though every now and then Stone Edge or Dragon Claw will fill that spot. Earthquake is a pretty decent STAB that screws over Jirachi. Fire Blast is if the opponent has a Skarmory or Forretress on their team that need to be put down quick.

Peeka Boo (Forretress) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 244 HP / 208 Def / 56 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes

PA custom made Forretress made for taking on things that like to setup on it,Gliscor,Dragonite,Landorus. All are 2HKO'd by a HP Ice while Volt Switch is made so I can have some form of momentum on the team. Rapid Spin is pretty obvious while Spikes are well,Spikes, what else. EV spread makes it a defensive tank so Dragons can't touch it physically.

Thats the team in a nutshell pretty much,if you want to test the team if it fits your battling style you can import it from the link below by copying it.

Ching, when in the team builder, go to the toolbar, and click "team". Then click "import team" and copy and paste his team into that.
