How the hell do i counter these??

OK people, i've been having a lot of trouble with a few pokemon that are really common in OU ATM - It's driving me Mental! lol

How do i counter these;

Genesect
Jirachi (normally scarfed using iron head)

Please help me

Genesect, Use a Fire Attack, and it should die.

But some Genesects are Uturners, so just get something to absorb that hit.


Jirachi... I just try to kill it in any way possible haha

well Genesect is rendered helpless to Heatran and Volcarona usually i just have random fire type moves like fire punch or Hidden power fire on hand. For jirachi i usually use ground type attacks like earthquake. also, a lum berry makes jirachi's first hax go away so you can counter before it gets you with a status condition.

Genesect is pretty slow with its 99 base speed. Scarf Terrakion in the sand,Keldeo in rain,and Heatran can all cointer Genesect with ease. Chansey with eviolite and Gastrodon for Genesects lacking Giga Drain also work. For countering Jirachi Jellicent works for most Scarf variants or those that choose Body Slam over Thunder Wave. Landorus is naturally faster and can revenge kill Jirachi. Heatran doesn't give to much care to Jirachi either as long as it isn't the rain variant with Substitute and Calm Mind.
